The Italian Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano, submitted his irrevocable resignation to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni today.

He was involved in a scandal over an extramarital affair, where the Italian media accused him of being involved in official travel.

The Italian minister in this letter thanks Meloni for the support given, while warning of a legal battle over the accusations leveled against him with fake news.

While Meloni himself has warned that the new Minister of Culture will be Alessandro Giuli.

He had also submitted his resignation on Wednesday, but Prime Minister Meloni had rejected it.
