Ukraine has launched its deadly "Dragon's Breath" drone on the battlefield for the first time. The new weapon that hurls molten metal at 2204.444 °C at enemies has terrified Russian troops and is expected to wreak havoc in the absence of sufficient Western weaponry.
Their new invention has caused Russian troops on social media to openly express their fear of the drone's brutal efficiency.
Thermite bombs, which drop pieces of molten metal onto their targets, have already been used several times in war by Vladimir Putin's forces, but they are usually mounted on rockets or cluster munitions that are delivered indiscriminately by bombers at a much higher cost.
Experts believe that by successfully attaching weapons to the underside of drones, Kiev has developed a cost-effective way to conduct devastating incendiary attacks that could bring new advantages to the battlefield.
Footage that emerged for the first time on Monday shows a small drone in flight over a wooded area in eastern Ukraine in which Russian forces are believed to be hiding.
Its pilot ignites the thermite bomb and a volley of fiery shrapnel erupts from beneath the drone scanning the forest line, spraying molten metal over the Russian positions.
Two more videos were quickly released afterwards, one from Ukraine's 60th Mechanized Brigade and another from the 'Khorne Group', an element of Ukraine's 116th Mechanized Brigade, showing both firing the forest and it seems as if hell has descended on earth.
