UN: Over 6,400 dead and 10,000 injured since the start of the war

Over 6,400 dead and around 10,000 wounded have been recorded since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. The figures are reported by the UN, but it says their number could be many times higher.

The US says it will continue to support Ukraine regardless of the outcome of the mid-term congressional elections.

In a statement to the media, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said that even if the Republicans win, they will try to work harder to ensure support for Kiev.
