Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates continues to remain one of the most influential voices in the world of technology, even though he has reduced his professional activity.

In an interview on Jimmy Fallon's "The Tonight Show" on NBC, he shared his vision for the impact that artificial intelligence will have over the next decade.

According to Gates, " within ten years, most of the tasks performed by humans today will be performed by artificial intelligence."

He does not see this development as a threat, but as an opportunity for significant improvement in efficiency and results in various areas.

Gates highlighted the great potential of AI in technology, education and medicine, where it is expected to bring more accurate medical advice, intelligent teaching and advances in scientific research.

He also mentioned the impact it could have on manufacturing, transportation and agriculture, describing these changes as "profound and happening very quickly."

The American philanthropist also spoke about his role in research on malaria and Alzheimer's disease, noting that in 2022 he had written that AI is the most powerful tool for reducing inequalities in the world.

For Gates, artificial intelligence represents a positive revolution that could lead to new treatments for deadly diseases, solutions to the climate crisis, and quality education for all, fundamentally transforming human life in the coming decade.
