Michael Schumacher remains in the hearts of Formula 1 fans, not just Ferrari fans. His story outside of racing has touched everyone.

The German is receiving a lot of attention, although the privacy of a champion like him is respected, even if there have been some incidents in the past. His health condition has long been kept strictly confidential. A French journalist from L'Equipe gave an update on the legendary Formula 1 driver's health in a radio interview.

Stéphane L'Hermitte is a prominent name in French journalism. For forty years, he has been a prestigious contributor to L'Equipe, and in recent weeks he has worked tirelessly to understand the true state of the seven-time world champion.

L'Hermitte, who has closely followed the German driver's F1 career, has done so by gathering a series of news stories, trying to connect the dots, taking into account the few details revealed by his family, who have remained extremely secretive all these years.

In a radio interview, the Frenchman spoke about Schumacher, explaining that from what he has been able to gather and from various reports, he certainly cannot describe the former driver's condition as good. However, he also offers hope, saying that he may be improving.

MIRACLE happens? Good news about Schumacher's health! French journalist:
Michael Schumacher autographed helmet

He told "Le Grand Recit": "Basically, we don't know anything specific. The only news comes from the family. And the news that comes from the family is good." Relatively good, considering his general condition and the signature on a helmet last spring.

L'Hermitte recalls the signature on a helmet auctioned for the Jackie Stewart Association: "A few months ago, he autographed a helmet. How did he manage to sign it? Did his wife hold his hand? We don't know for sure, but it's the first time we've seen a positive sign, almost a sign of life."

So, a faint hope in a very complicated situation. Because the L'Equipe journalist adds: "We haven't seen him walk yet and apparently he's still not talking. So we're dealing with someone who maybe has a little interaction with his family, he's breathing, but a priori we can't say that he's okay."

The only certainty is that for more than ten years, Michael Schumacher has lived in a special state and for all that time, his world, the world of sport, his fans have hoped for positive news, even one that might bring a small smile, a faint hope, as happened in April, when even his former Benetton teammate, Johnny Herbert, happily received the signature on that helmet.
