Footage captured during Donald Trump's speech to the Israeli parliament shows the moment two Knesset members were ejected from the chamber. According to a Knesset spokesperson, the two deputies were holding a banner reading "Recognize Palestine," which is a violation of the Israeli parliament's internal rules, which prohibit the raising of banners or signs inside the plenary chamber.

The expelled MPs are Ayman Odeh, head of the Arab Hadash party, and Ofer Cassif, the only Jewish lawmaker who is part of an Arab party.

As the two MPs were being escorted out by security guards, several other Knesset members stood up and began loudly chanting the name of the American president, shouting: "Trump! Trump!".

The incident has sparked mixed reactions in Israeli public opinion, between those who see it as free political expression and those who consider it an inappropriate provocation during an official speech.
