Yesterday, the citizens of Kosovo headed to the ballot boxes to elect their mayors.

According to the results made public this Monday morning, in the 38 municipalities of Kosovo, 21 of them concluded the mayoral race in the first round, while 17 of them went to a runoff, where none of the candidates managed to receive over 50% of the votes and as a result, it will be the second round that will determine the winners.

Compared to 2021, this time there are 5 fewer municipalities in the runoff, while 21 municipalities closed the race in the first round, 4 more than in previous elections.

According to the CEC, voter turnout was 39 percent, out of 2,069,098 eligible citizens, while around 44,000 voters were from the diaspora.

Results in 21 municipalities of Kosovo:

In Ferizaj, Agim Aliu of the Democratic Party of Kosovo won the race again with over 56% of the votes, translated differently with 27,720 votes.

The race also ended without a runoff in Lipjan, where the Democratic League of Kosovo candidate, Imri Ahmeti, was able to win with 15,029 votes, or translated into a percentage of over 51% of the votes.

Meanwhile, in Podujeva, Shpejtim Bulliqi of the Vetëvendosje Movement is the one who has managed to receive over 83% of the votes, or translated into 20,407 such votes.

12,433 citizens voted for Sami Lushtaku of PDK in Skenderaj, who managed to receive over 83% of the votes.

Kadri Rahimaj of the Vetevendosje Movement won in Kamenica with over 50% of the vote, or translated differently with 7,389 votes.

Ilir Ferati of the LDK won Istog with 58 percent of the vote. Around 10,000 citizens yesterday decided to vote for Ferati, trusting him to lead their municipality.

The candidate of the Vetëvendosje Movement also won in Shtime. Qemajl Aliu was able to secure 6,934 votes, or over 50% of the votes.

Malisheva was won by Ekrem Kastrati of the Social Democratic Initiative with over 53%, 10,907 votes.

Bashkim Ramosaj of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo won in Decani. He received over 51%, or 7,866 votes.

In Drenas, the race was won by Ramiz Lladrovci from the For Drenas Champion party with over 52%.

Hani i Elezit was won by Mehmet Ballazi of PDK with over 50%, 2,527 votes.

In Mamusha, Abdulhadi Krasniç from the Turkish Democratic Party of Kosovo (KDTP) won with over 50% of the votes, 1,517 votes.

The race has also concluded in the four municipalities with a Serb majority: North Mitrovica, Zvecan, Leposavic and Zubin Potok. Candidates from the Serbian List, the largest Serb party in Kosovo, won there.

Specifically, in North Mitrovica, Milamn Radojvevic won with over 60% or translated into 4,669 votes.

Në Zveçan ka mundur që të fitojë Dragiša Milovićme  3,416 Vota, pse e përkthyer në përqindje me 86.66%.

Edhe në Leposaviq ka mundur që të fitojë kandidati i partisë Srpska Lista. Zoran Todiç është votuar nga 2.384 qytetarë, duke siguruar kështu mbi 70% të votave.

Miloš Perović ka fituar në Zubin Potok me 2.873 vota ose mbi 70%. Lista Serbe ka fituar edhe në Novobërdë, Shtërpcë, Graçanicë, Ranillug dhe Partesh.

Ndërkohë në 17 komuna të tjera kandidatët shkuan në balotazh. Do të jetë raundi i dytë ai i cili do të përcaktojë kryetarët e këtyre komunave dhe pritet që të mbahet më 9 nëntor.

17 komunat që shkuan në balotazh:

Pas përfundimit të kutive të votimit në Prishtinë në fazën e dytë do të përballen Përparim Rama i Lidhjes Demokratike të Kosovës (LDK) me Hajrullah Çekun e Lëvizjes Vetëvendosje (LVV).

Rama mundi që të siguronte 34,752 Vota, ndërsa kundërshtari i tij 34,022 Vota. Ndonëse kandidati i Lidhjes Demokratike të Kosovës ka mundur që të marrë më tepër vota, ai nuk arriti që të siguronte mbi 50% të tyre, si rrjedhojë do të përballet në një fazë të dytë.

Rezultatet e KQZ:

Në Prizren, Shaqir Totaj i Partisë Demokratike të Kosovës (PDK) do të garojë me Artan Abrashin e LVV-së.

Në Pejë, Gazmend Muhaxheri i LDK-së do të përballet me Taulant Kelmendin e LVV-së.

Në Junik do të përballen Ruzhdi Shehu i LDK-së me Agron Kuçin e AAK-së.

Në Dragash, përballja do të jetë mes Bexhet Xheladinit të LDK-së dhe Shaban Shabanit të PDK-së.

Në Gjakovë pritet të përballet Ardian Gjini i AAK-së me Ardian Golën e LVV-së.

Në Kaçanik do të përballen Sabedin Vishi i PDK-së me Jeton Rakën e LVV-së.

Në Fushë Kosovë do të ketë garë mes Valon Prebrezës së LVV-së dhe Besnik Osmanit të LDK-së.

Në Mitrovicën e Jugut, gara do të zhvillohet mes Arian Tahirit të PDK-së dhe Faton Pecit të LVV-së.

Në Rahovec do të përballen Smajl Latifi i AAK-së me Ali Dulën e LVV-së.

Në Suharekë, gara do të zhvillohet mes Bali Muharremajt të AAK-së dhe Ardian Shalës së LDK-së.

Në Gjilan do të përballen Alban Hyseni i LVV-së me Arbër Ismajlin e LDK-së.

Në Viti do të ketë garë mes Sokol Halitit të LDK-së dhe Arsim Ademit të LVV-së.

Në Vushtrri, përballja do të jetë mes Ferit Idrizit të PDK-së dhe Sylejman Mehollit të LVV-së.

Në Obiliq do të përballen Xhafer Gashi i LDK-së me Halil Thaçin e LVV-së.

Në Klinë, përballja do të jetë mes Zenun Elezajt të AAK-së dhe Sokol Bashotës së PDK-së.

Në Kllokot do të përballen Bozhidar Dejanoviq nga Lista Serbe me Sreqko Spasiqin nga Uniteti Kombëtar Serb.

Çfarë thoshin sondazhet?

Menjëherë pas përfundimit të procesit të votimi, exit-pollet paralajmëruan dhe rezultatin në disa komuna të Kosovës.

Ajo që u vu re është fakti se në 3 exit poll-e e zhvilluara, rezultuan pothuajse të njëjta shifra duke nxjerrë fitues të njëjtin kandidat për komunën përkatëse. Diferencat janë të vogla në përqindjen e votave që parashihet të marrë çdo kandidat, ndërsa për disa prej tyre nuk përjashtohet përballja në balotazh.

Rezultatet sipas exit poll-it të parë në disa komuna:

Pristina: Përparim Rama (LDK), 37.7%. Hajrullah Çeku (LVV) 30.00%. Urain Ismaili (PDK) 26.03%.

Mitrovica (victory without a runoff): Arian Tahiri (PDK) 58.30%. Faton Peci (LVV) 35.06%

Podujevo: Shepjtim Bulliqi (LVV) 47.07%. Ekrem Hyseni (LDK) 38.09%.

Drenas: Ramiz Lladrovci (PDKRLL) 48.06%. Petrit Hajdari (PDK) 45.03%.

Suhareka: Bali Muharremaj (AAK) 44.05%. Ardian Shala (LDK) 30.06%.

Lipjan (victory without a runoff): Imri Ahmeti (LDK) 52.00%. Shukri Buja (PDK) 32.01%.

According to this data, there will also be a runoff in Peja, Gjakova, Gjilan and Prizren.

According to this exit poll, there will be no runoff in Ferizaj, where PDK's Agim Aliu wins convincingly, nor in Istog, where Ilir Ferati also secures victory in the first round.

Results according to the second exit poll in several municipalities:

Pristina: Përparim Rama (LDK), 35.82%. Hajrullah Çeku (LVV) 31.57%. Urain Ismaili (PDK) 26.05%

Mitrovica (victory without a runoff): Arian Tahiri (PDK) 51.12%. Faton Peci (LVV) 41.23%.

Prizren: Shaqir Totaj (PDK) 46.14%. Artan Abrashi (LVV) 30.47%.

Peja: Gazmend Muhaxheri (LDK) 47.52%. Tauland Kelmendi (LVV) 28.27%.

Ferizaj (victory without a runoff): Agim Aliu (PDK) 55.38%. Enver Haliti (LVV) 30.97%.

Gjakova (victory without a runoff) Ardian Gjini (AAK) 50.67%. Ardian Gola (LVV) 25.21%.

Gjilan: Alban Hyseni (LVV) 48.5%. Arbër Ismaili (LDK) 32.05%.

Results according to the third exit poll in several municipalities:

Pristina: Progress Rama (LDK) 34.03%. Hajrulla Çeku (LVV) 32.01%. Uran Ismaili (PDK) 28.09%.

Prizren: Shaqir Totaj (PDK) 43.03%. Artan Abrashi (LVV) 30.04%.

Peja: Gazmend Muhaxheri 46.04%. Taulant Kelmendi (LVV) 27.00%.

Podujevo (victory without a runoff): Shpejtim Bulliqi (LVV) 51.06%. Ekrem Hyseni (LDK) 37.08%.

Mitrovica (victory without a runoff): Arian Tahiri (LVV) 55.09%. Faton Peci (LVV) 39.07%.

Istog (victory without a runoff): Ilir Ferati (LDK) 64.06%. Ali Nimanaj (PDK) 19.06%.

Ferizaj (victory without a runoff): Agim Aliu (PDK) 62.02%. Enver Haliti (LVV) 21.04%.

Suhareka: Bali Muharremaj (AAK) 45.07%. Ardian Shala (LDK) 30.02%.

Gjakova: Ardian Gjini (AAK) 47.02%. Ardian Gola (LVV) 21.03%.

Lipjan: Imri Ahmeti (LDK) 48.08%. Shukri Buja (PDK) 36.00%.

Gjilan: Alban Hyseni (LVV) 48.01%. Arbër Ismaili (LDK) 36.01%.

Kosovo Polje: Valor Perbreza (LVV) 39.07%. Besnik Osmani (LDK) 37.09%.
