Mitsotakis again message to North Macedonia: When someone pulls the rope, he

The Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has again sent a message to the political and state leadership of North Macedonia after the defiant stance to call the country "Macedonia".

"When someone pulls the rope, they have to be ready and drown," Mitsotakis said.

"And if he deviates from the agreed course, let him know that he will find the road to Europe closed", which, as he says, "passes through Greece and respect for international law".

After the new president of North Macedonia, Gordana Silianovska-Davkova, even the winner of the elections, Christian Mickoski, insists on using the term "Macedonia". The chairman of VMRO, who will be the next prime minister of the neighboring country, in violation of the Prespa agreement, has chosen not to refer to his country as North Macedonia. According to the new leadership, it is their right to call the country what they want.

This has fueled debates between the two countries.
