The International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered Israel to "immediately halt" its military offensive in Rafah, south of Gaza.

According to the ICJ, Israel must also stop any other actions in Rafah that could worsen the lives of Palestinians in Rafah, Gaza.

He is unlikely to implement such an order, as the ICJ said the situation in the Gaza Strip has worsened.

South Africa had asked the Hague-based court to order a halt to the Israeli offensive in Rafah and the withdrawal of troops from the entire Gaza Strip.

Just a few days ago, a prosecutor asked the ICJ to approve arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as well as several Hamas leaders.
