Starting from April 1, the minimum wage in Greece will be 780 euros. The news was announced by the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, writes Protothema.

Mitsotakis said that the increase will be 9.4% and it is the third time that the minimum wage has increased during his administration.

He recalled that in 2019, the minimum wage in Greece was 650 euros.

"I have no illusions, I know that salaries are still low in our country. I hear it all the time, especially from young men and women who are having a hard time. This new increase obviously does not solve the problem, but it is a significant relief and above all it shows our intention to increase salaries in both the public and private sectors", stressed Mitsotakis.
