The International Criminal Court has signed an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova.
The arrest warrant for the Russian leader and official Lvova-Belova has been signed as they are suspected of being responsible for the scheme to deport Ukrainian children to Russia.
In a statement, the court announced that it is suspected that the Russian president is responsible for the illegal deportation of children and the illegal transfer of children from the occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation, and this is considered a war crime.
However, Maria Lvova-Belova is the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Office of the President of the Russian Federation and the charges against her are similar.
In the announcement of the International Criminal Court, it is announced that the pre-trial chambers have found that there are "reasonable grounds to believe that each suspect bears responsibility for the war crime of illegal expulsion of the population and that of the illegal transfer of the population from occupied areas of Ukraine in the Russian Federation, to the detriment of Ukrainian children."
