A surprise march with several thousand participants has been organized in the streets of Rome.

"We are over 100 thousand," declared the organizing committee of the national demonstration "Stop Rearm Europe" and "No war, genocide, authoritarianism, rearmament" from the massive crowd heading towards the Colosseum.

"Italy out of NATO. Free Palestine from the river to the sea," these were some of the chants that were chanted in the crowd, and then the burning of posters with the flags of Israel, the EU and NATO began. "Let's burn the symbols of oppression," the protesters shouted as they set fire to a picture of Donald Trump.

"We are all anti-Zionists" and "Free Palestine", but also "No war, no soldier, out of war, out of NATO", were some of the chants that followed each other towards the end of the march against rearmament that started from Piazzale Ostiense.
