The war in Ukraine, the president of the WB: The world will face food crisis!

" The world will face a food crisis as a result of the Russian occupation of Ukraine ," said World Bank President David Malpass.

In an interview with BBB Malpass warned that the record rise in food prices would push hundreds of millions of people into poverty if the crisis continues at the same pace.

" It's a human catastrophe, which means the level of food is declining. " This then becomes a political challenge for governments that can do little about it ," he said during IMF-World Bank meetings in Washington.
