The Central Election Commission in Kosovo is facing difficulties in accessing its online website.
It seems that the great interest of citizens in following the results of the parliamentary elections in real time has caused the CEC website to go offline.
It remains unclear whether these technical problems with the CEC have contributed to the incorrect result, where according to the latest update, LVV was leading with 55.77% of the votes.
It also remains unclear whether the site is experiencing difficulties due to high clicks, or is facing an attack by hackers.
Full announcement from the CEC of Kosovo:
I would like to inform you that the CEC is collecting data after counting the ballots from the polling stations. There are obvious technical problems with the platform. The data is being collected from the field and will then be published by the CEC.
Due to the great interest of citizens in accessing the results platform, the system has been overloaded. All CEC teams are working in the field and sending the data, which we are making efforts to transmit as quickly as possible. The CEC thanks all citizens and the media for their understanding!
