Prime Minister Albin Kurti said today that the punitive measures of the European Union against Kosovo should be removed as soon as possible.
He said that Kosovo with the achieved economic and democratic progress should have the recognition of the EU.
"There is an agreement between Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi and the European emissary Lajcak, but their agreement in Bratislava should become the position of the EU. We consider that Kosovo, with its economic and democratic progress, should have the EU's recognition of any punitive measures. The earlier such a thing is known, of course, it is better for everyone", he concluded.
The European Union has announced on Saturday (July 1) that the punitive measures imposed on Kosovo have entered into force. According to the EU, the work of the SAA bodies and the IPA funds program has been suspended.
