The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandër Vucic, are expected to sign the declaration for the missing persons during the last war in Kosovo, on May 3 in Brussels.
Among them, the mechanism for self-management of the Serbian community in Kosovo will be discussed.
Deputy of the Vetëvendosje Movement, at the same time chair of the Parliamentary Committee for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Arbëreshë Kryeziu-Hyseni says the competences of the structures are different for both issues.
"We have made maximum efforts to talk about a new mechanism, different from the Association, and not to return the discussion to the past agreements that were based on the mono-ethnic Association... (At the meeting on May 3 in Brussels) The agreement that has already been agreed at the meeting of chief negotiators for missing persons will be signed."
But, on the other hand, the head of the parliamentary group of AAK, Besnik Tahiri, says that the agreement should not be reduced only to the Association.
"The Kosovo-Serbia agreement should not be reduced only to the Association, as it will be the biggest risk. The Ohrid Agreement should first deal with the basic agreement of principles, which has some elements of Kosovo's progress in international relations. It cannot be reduced only to the Association. The implementation should happen but it is some kind of procedure, we don't know anything about this procedure."
The meeting on May 3 is the first between Kurti and Vučić, since the agreement reached in Ohrid on March 18.
Meanwhile, the two chief negotiators Bislimi and Petkovic met on April 4, where it was said that there was an agreement on the text of the declaration for the missing persons.
