Israel destroys Hezbollah's largest tunnel in Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces have destroyed a large Hezbollah tunnel in southern Lebanon, following an unusual warning to residents in areas near the northern border. The Israeli military said the explosion would be heard over a wide area, from Rosh HaNikra to the Golan Heights.

The tunnel, discovered near the village of Qantara, is considered the largest found so far in southern Lebanon and was destroyed around 6:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, amid a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, sirens were heard in Misgav Am, minutes before the planned explosion. According to the military, air interceptors were launched at suspected targets in the area where the operations were taking place.

Military authorities stressed that the sirens were activated due to the risk of fragments from the breakers falling in the area, while the results of the air intervention are still under review.
