The father of Sokol Halil, the young man who killed his pregnant wife Hamide Magashi and today also himself, has narrated the moment when his son went to his house, while the Kosovo Police were looking for him everywhere.
He has shown how he tried to convince him to surrender to the police and then let the law deal with him, however "he did not accept such a thing", reports the Kosovar media.
"Sokoli came today and greeted them. We talked to him. Even talking to you makes me bored. She was turning herself in to the police and now she answered the law and whatever the law says, that's how she was. I told him that Sokol was calling the police and surrendered to me. He said, "Dad, don't call him and ask, because you don't want to cook with me, so write me a letter that they don't blame me", Sokol Halil's father said.
Furthermore, he told how Sokol Halili had told him that he wanted to go to the Police Station in Shtime and commit suicide there.
"He told me that I am writing a letter, I will hand myself over to the Shtime Police. Dad said I won't take you. You said you can't go without me. He said, "Dad, I'm alive and I'm not giving up, take me to the yard of the Police station and commit suicide ," he confessed.
According to the father, Sokol Halili had revealed that he had told Hamide Magashi that either the three would live together or the three would die.
"He said I don't give up. I gave my trust to that friend, alive or dead we live or die together. He didn't obey", said Sokol Halil's father.
Meanwhile, the Kosovo Police managed to locate him at his home around 13:45. After the failure of the attempt to convince him to surrender, Sokol Halili committed suicide in his home.
