Hashim Thaci

The British newspaper "The Sunday Time" has dedicated an article to the judicial process in the Specialized Chambers of Kosovo in The Hague against Hashim Thaçi and others.

The article begins with the fact that NATO's intervention in Kosovo in March 1999 was defined as a response to Serbian war crimes and atrocities against the Albanian people of Kosovo, which redefined the military intervention of the West as an intervention on humanitarian grounds.

Among others, in the article titled: "They are national heroes of Kosovo - now accused of war crimes", the newspaper mentions how British and American leaders, former Prime Minister Tony Blair and former President Bill Clinton, are honored as heroes in Pristina . In this case, the Clinton statue on "Bill Clinton Boulevard" and the baptism of Kosovar children with the name "Tonibler" are mentioned.

"In a small country where Blair and Clinton are idols, NATO's success story is threatening to turn very sour", - writes "The Sunday Times".

The article also mentions the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, who in an interview for "The Sunday Times", said that the people of Kosovo will never forget the role of the United Kingdom in the liberation of Kosovo and NATO's intervention.

After the publication of this article, Prime Minister Kurti also shared it on his Twitter account, announcing that he had a conversation with its author, journalist Matthew Campbell. Also, in the published article, Prime Minister Kurti is quoted as having expressed concern that the judicial process could help Serbia "rewrite history".

“It's a pleasure to speak with Matthew Campbell for today's article. We discussed Kosovo's gratitude to Great Britain, the risk that Serbia will use the Specialized Chambers to rewrite history and Russia will see the Balkans as a front against NATO," Kurti wrote.

Also, in the published article, Prime Minister Kurti is quoted as having expressed concern that the judicial process could help Serbia "rewrite history". The newspaper goes on to recall that Serbian forces were responsible for the vast majority of atrocities in Kosovo and while some were tried at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, most of those responsible for ethnic cleansing, rape and other crimes in Kosovo were not. have never been convicted.
