Friday, April 14 marked one of the most serious cases that have ever happened in Kosovo. The house of the Hyseni family on 'Mbreti Zog' street in Pejë, turned into a crime scene.
This is because the family's son, Urim, allegedly brutally killed his mother, Hyrije. Yesterday, the suspect appeared before the judge of the preliminary procedure and he was remanded in custody.
In the ruling of the Basic Court in Peja, which was provided by Sinjali, it is stated that the suspect was interviewed in the presence of a psychiatrist and that is why his opinion was taken about the presence of the suspect in the hearing.
"Dr. Nysret Pepaj stated that he talked to the suspect regarding the whole case and now he may be worried, but he also silently understands the procedure that is being carried out against him, because it has been stated that 'these cases happen, they also happened ahead and we have nothing to do now'".
"The disease for which he is suspecting that the aforementioned may be (psychotic disorder), has no influence on the reduction of his intelligence, so when he is out of the effect of the disease, he understands everything and declares himself normal. When he is under the influence of that disorder, then his actions are different, which in this case his calmness gives us to understand that the effect of the disease is reduced except that it is his concern in front of him and from concern his actions as well as his responses his may be invalid", the court decision further states.
The suspect's defense lawyer, Asdren Mekaj, in a statement for Sinjalin, stated yesterday that he requested that the suspect be sent to specialized institutions for psychiatric examination.
