A few days ago, a news spread in the media that the well-known designer from Kosovo, Valdrin Sahiti, was arrested at Istanbul airport, after being caught with narcotics. He was said to have used his diplomatic passport to cross the border.
After the news circulated online, the stylist published some photos in Duabi and his lawyer considered the news as fake. Recently, there has been a reaction regarding the situation from the Presidency of Kosovo, where it is said that they did not give him a diplomatic passport. According to the Presidency, such diplomatic passports were issued by the previous administration.
"Another clarification. The president has never given a diplomatic passport to anyone, including Valdrin Sahit. The president has not even recommended such a thing. The President has no legal authority to issue passports. These passports were issued by the previous government. Therefore, the Presidency will deal with the numerous slanders of these days by taking measures foreseen by law against all those who have slandered." - says the announcement.
