The photo that prompted Donald Trump to strongly support Ukraine

A moment described as emotionally crucial during the G7 summit has influenced US President Donald Trump's stance on the war in Ukraine, according to reports published by Politico.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has shown Trump photos of the Dormition Cathedral in Kiev, which was seen with its golden domes in flames after a Russian attack.

According to three G7 officials cited in the report, Trump was visibly moved by the images, with one of them saying "he was really moved."

This moment is considered by some participants as one of the factors that influenced the change in the US position, leading to support for a tougher joint statement on Ukraine the following day.

The event comes at a time when Western allies are trying to maintain unity on strategy towards the war in Ukraine and pressure on Russia in the international arena.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has launched a series of massive drone attacks on Moscow, causing extensive damage to the Russian capital, primarily targeting energy infrastructure.
