United States Envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar

The envoy of the United States for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, today held a two-hour meeting with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.

At the end of the meeting, Eskobar briefly told the journalists what he discussed with Kurti.

"I can say that we had a good discussion. The Prime Minister will take into account some proposals that I have made today. Everything we have done these years has been in favor of Kosovo. We have supported Kosovo in all democratic processes. We have centered alongside Kosovo. Kosovo should listen to our concerns and it shouldn't be difficult," said Escobar.

Earlier, on Wednesday, Escobar met with President Vjosa Osmani, with whom they also held a joint press conference.

He said that the US is not only asking Kosovo to take difficult decisions, as the same thing, according to him, is also being asked of Serbia.

Speaking about the CBK regulation, which bans the dinar, Escobar said that during his visit he will commit to finding ways to move forward.
