Elon Musk shares footage of Lavrov with the Russian delegation: Competent
Donald Trump and Elon Musk

Elon Musk has chosen to call the Russian delegation led by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov a "competent leadership" as he shared footage of them arriving in Saudi Arabia to negotiate with the Americans over Ukraine.

Musk's comment has attracted a lot of attention, causing quite a few strong reactions from those who are surprised why the American billionaire, part of Donald Trump's administration, is so openly complimenting the Russian leadership.

Musk shared the post of a self-proclaimed journalist named Mario Nawfal, who has often received criticism for spreading biased or inaccurate information.

"This is what competent leadership looks like," Musk writes, referring to Lavrov and his delegation.

So far, from what is known about the negotiations between the US and Russia over Ukraine, Moscow seeks to take back all the territories occupied so far, while Washington seeks to take control of almost half of Ukraine's economy and natural resources.

Europe is excluded from participating in the negotiations, as is Ukraine itself.
