The State Police has issued an official response regarding the breaking of the ATM of a second-tier bank located in the center of Tirana, on "Luigj Gurakuqi" street, which it reports was attempted to be stolen by a 15-year-old in collaboration with several others.

Referring to the investigations so far, the police have been able to identify and detain the minor, while it is reported that work is underway to identify and detain other citizens involved in this case.

Police Announcement:

4 days ago, a 15-year-old attempted to rob an ATM on "Luigj Gurakuqi" Street, and was identified and arrested.

Following intensive investigative and operational actions, carried out with the aim of identifying and bringing to criminal responsibility the perpetrators of illegal actions during the protests of recent days, specialists from the Sector for the Investigation of Serious Crimes against Property detained a 15-year-old.

The minor is suspected of being one of the perpetrators of the break-in of an ATM on "Luigj Gurakuqi" street, on 15.10.2026, with the intent to steal.

Work is underway to identify and detain other citizens involved in this case.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
