Delta plane explodes as it lands on runway, footage from Canada incident (VIDEO)

A Delta plane carrying 80 passengers and crew overturned while landing at Toronto's Pearson International Airport on Monday afternoon, amid strong winds and snowfall.

Footage of the incident has been released, showing that the plane did not make a normal landing and burst into flames when it touched down on the runway.

According to authorities, fortunately there were no casualties from the accident, while 18 injuries were reported, 3 of whom are in serious condition.

One of the main hypotheses for the accident is related to poor weather conditions, which may have made it difficult for the Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft to land.
