A serious incident happened in the Italian city of Favara where a cardiologist was killed by a patient in his office.
The victim is the professional Gaetano Alaimo, 65 years old, known and respected in the provincial city of Agrigento and in Sicily.
The event happened in front of the employees of the structure, which is also used as a cardiology rehabilitation center.
The author of the murder, the 47-year-old from Favara, Adriano Vetro, was immediately arrested by the carabinieri of Favara, who, together with colleagues from the investigative unit of the Agrigento provincial command, tracked him down.
He was arrested at his home where he had returned after the crime. The carabinieri found and confiscated the crime weapon.
The caliber has not yet been ascertained, nor whether or not it was legally prohibited, writes Corriere della Serra.
Adriano Vetro, apparently for years, was a patient of the specialist.
The cause of the incident is suspected to have been some past conflict between the victim and the perpetrator.
The 47-year-old is in the barracks of the Carabinieri of Favara and is being interrogated by the deputy prosecutor of Agrigento Salvatore Vella.
