The French media have published the moment when the police tracked down Dominique Pelico , the 71-year-old who allegedly drugged his wife Giselle Pelico for 10 years and invited different men to the apartment to rape her.

Pelico was arrested in a supermarket after he tried to take pictures of a woman's bottom with his phone.

Soon after, the phone search made the police aware of one of the biggest sex scandals of recent decades in France.

The arrest took place in 2020, after the 71-year-old tried to take pictures under women's skirts.

The case took a horrific turn when, during questioning, a hard drive containing photos and videos of at least 92 rapes of his wife, without her knowledge, was discovered in his home.

Peliko drugged his wife with the powerful substance Temesta to allow dozens of men to rape her.

He recruited rapists online in secret forums.

A total of 51 men have been identified out of 72 who participated in her rape.

The network included professionals such as civil servants, nurses, soldiers and journalists.

The couple's daughter, Caroline Darian, described the father in court as one of the biggest sex maniacs of recent times.

Despite serious health problems, Peliko remains in custody, with his defense insisting that his health condition does not allow him to appear in court.

All the people who knew Dominic Pelicon closely point out that he had many faults, but they agree that he never behaved inappropriately towards women in public.

A typical example is the brother of the 71-year-old, who spoke to Paris Match about the "two faces" of the man who is being tried in Avignon for the terrible crimes against his wife.

" He couldn't stand the dirty jokes. For example, if we were watching TV and somewhere sexual topics were mentioned, he seemed the most shocked of all , "said the brother.
