Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic also spoke in a media address on Monday about the incident last week near Gelsenkirchen, where the match between Serbia and England took place.
"I love my son, he didn't embarrass his father," Vucic said.
Although there were different versions of the incident, sometimes said to have happened between Serbs and Englishmen and sometimes between Albanians and Serbs, Vucic accuses Albanians.
"They were mainly Albanians, Schalke fans, they attacked them with chairs. It was interesting the approach of the German police who demanded the arrest of Serbian fans. "I don't know what anyone should do when they attack him with chairs and bottles," he said.
"They sat quietly and were eating. It was the only coffee shop with Serbian flag and that bothered them. I love my son. He didn't embarrass his father in anything," vucic claimed.
