Despite criticism and internal opposition, the administration of US President Donald Trump appears to have agreed to accept a super-luxury Boeing 747-8 private jet, a gift from the Qatari royal family.

The plane, which is valued at around $400 million, is a "flying palace" with royal-style interiors, designed by the renowned French firm "Alberto Pinto Cabinet".

This private jet includes a master bedroom, a guest room, two large bathrooms with showers, nine smaller toilets, five small kitchens and a personal office.

The decor includes large leather couches, more than 40 televisions (including 10 large screens), and gold-colored walls reminiscent of the style of Trump Tower in Manhattan.

The aircraft, previously used by a division of Qatar Airways to transport the royal family and state officials, can carry around 90 passengers and 14 crew members.

It has a flight range of around 12,450 kilometers and a top speed of 1,062 km/h, making it faster and more efficient than the current Air Force One.

Trump stated on Truth Social that this aircraft will serve as a temporary replacement for Air Force One until the new presidential aircraft being built by Boeing are completed.

However, Boeing's project has encountered major delays and budget overruns, causing its completion to be pushed back until 2027.

But even the luxury plane from Qatar will have to undergo a profound transformation to meet the security and communication requirements of a presidential aircraft.

American defense company L3Harris has been selected to equip it with advanced defense technology, satellite communications, and nuclear wave protection in the event of war.
