This is the moment a prisoner was found trapped in a concrete wall during a failed escape attempt in Brazil.
Alan Leandro da Silva, 29, reportedly spent two days using tools to dig the hole that had gone unnoticed in his cell at the prison in Rio Branco, Acre.
Believing that the hole he had dug was wide enough, da Silva seems to have sensed freedom and attempted to climb through, only to quickly find himself trapped in the concrete.
Guards thwarted the escape attempt after seeing movement in the cell on Monday, June 16, before calling firefighters to help free him.
The footage shows the prisoner, whose upper body had begun to tense from hanging to the floor.
With tattoos on his back, the 32-year-old can be seen leaning on a blue chair.
Officers said they had to be careful not to hurt him because he was shirtless. But firefighters managed to get him out without injury.
