Israel has shifted its military focus from Gaza to Iran, making the latter the main area of ??military operations, while airstrikes on Iranian territory have intensified.
According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, over the past 24 hours, around 150 targets inside Iran have been hit by Israeli warplanes.
The military announced that it has established a "safe route" to Tehran and is now operating freely in Iranian airspace.
This change in priority aims to expedite the release of hostages held in Gaza, following the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. Currently, Israel says there are 54 hostages remaining in Gaza, of whom 20 are believed to be still alive.
Meanwhile, over 10,000 Palestinians are held in Israeli prisons in difficult conditions, with reports of torture and mistreatment.
Israeli forces are also preparing for a possible confrontation with Hezbollah, although this group has not yet mobilized.
Earlier, Israel's Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, and Air Force Commander, Tomer Bar, announced that "the road to Iran has been opened" and warned of new attacks on Tehran.
Israel has struck Iran's nuclear and missile facilities, killing senior military commanders and nuclear scientists. Iran responded with missile and drone attacks on Israel.
According to Iranian authorities, the Israeli attacks have caused at least 78 deaths and over 320 injuries, while the attacks continued for the second day.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video message that "in the near future you will see Israeli Air Force planes flying over Tehran: we will strike every country and every target of the Ayatollahs' regime."
"Our goal is to stop Iran's dual threat to destroy the State of Israel: both nuclear and ballistic missiles. What they (the Ayatollahs) have seen so far is nothing compared to what they will hear in the coming days," Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video message.
"I hear someone saying that we have not achieved results, which is false. Of course we have achieved results. We have hit the uranium enrichment site hard and if necessary we will go back there, we will hit the strategic plant to activate nuclear bombs, we will target the group of scientists who were carrying out these projects. This sets Iran back many years in nuclear energy. Now there are other things to do that I cannot tell you," he added.
