Blendi Sulaj has undergone a radical transformation in his political beliefs. Initially, he aligned himself with Fatmir Mediu, as vice president of the Republican Party. Then he joined Lulzim Basha in the Democratic Party, "fighting" with the current majority. It seems that he emerged victorious from the "fight", after crossing the "rainbow" by "betraying" the right-wingers, if you can call them that, to align himself with the government.

After the arrest of the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, Blendi Sulaj was appointed by senior members of the majority as deputy mayor of Tirana. He is dealing with the control of the territory, whether or not permits have been implemented or whether public spaces have been occupied. A very big paradox, given that Sulaj himself has been prosecuted for construction without a permit. He is even accused of violating the permit to build a villa in the Mjull Bathore area, in Tirana.

VoxNews has researched dozens of documents, building permits, notarial deeds, purchase and sale contracts, and donation deeds, where the deputy mayor of Tirana has made fictitious documents to hide millions of euros. He has made highly suspicious ownership transfers for several companies that had capital of millions of euros, while in some cases he has donated these assets.

A few years ago, 33-year-old Blendi Sulaj opened a company called “Bia Invest,” which dealt with the construction of civil facilities. Later, Sulaj sold 50% of the shares to Andri Kasneci. Although the company dealt with construction, the sale price was only 500 euros.

Meanwhile, a few years later, Sulaj sold the company entirely to Kasnec. Again, 50% of the shares in this company were transferred to Kasnec for 500 euros. In total, the current deputy mayor of Tirana sold the company for only 1,000 euros.

Whether it has committed tax evasion, fictitious sales, or money laundering, these remain to be investigated. A simple verification is enough and law enforcement agencies can uncover a lot, from fictitious sales to the constructions this firm has carried out.

Did Sulaj lose track with this sale?! Documents researched by VoxNews show that, a few weeks after the company was 100% sold, the new owner suspended the company's activities. A year later, he also published the balance sheets, which show that the construction firm made a loss in the year of the sale!

According to documents available to our editorial team, the Sulaj family also owned the company ASINVEST International, which dealt with operations and transactions of all kinds related to the import of industrial goods.

The sale was for only a few pennies, as time passed and in August 2025, already from the chair of the deputy mayor of the Municipality of Tirana, Blendi Sulaj sold the other shares of his company. The 33-year-old sold the shares to Mr. Bahri Qordja, who was born in 1967, and is a resident of Tirana. As will be revealed later, Mr. Bahri had no activity or capital to make these purchases.

There are strong suspicions that his name is just a prestanome, where Blendi Sulaj is trying to hide his tracks in businesses. What connection does Blendi Sulaj have with Bahri Qordjan?!

How can you sell such an individual the shares of a company that owns millions of euros of capital, on the Albanian Riviera, for only 750 euros? Selling the shares just to keep the state chair, only Blendi Sulaj can do it. Of course, the actions deserve an in-depth investigation by state bodies, which may find that Sulaj is hiding income, is evading taxes or is even committing a criminal offense such as money laundering.

But, one of the most flagrant and highly suspicious cases was undoubtedly the establishment of the company "ASINVESTMENT", in May 2021. The company dealt with the construction and design of buildings, or the sale and purchase of properties. Also, with advertising or even the construction of websites. With this company, Sulaj also ran Basha's campaign in 2021, where the result is known to everyone.

Two years after he founded it, in 2023, Sulaj signed a "quota donation" declaration in favor of Ermal Haxhiaj. Meanwhile, in March 2024, Ermal donated the quotas to his mother, Luanesha Haxhiaj.

But the wonders of Sulaj and his companies are not over. The company he donated and had capital and properties of considerable value, managed to obtain a permit on October 4, 2024. According to the documents, the National Council of Territories, chaired by Prime Minister Edi Rama and signed by Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, granted this company a permit for a 15- and 20-story tower.

"KKTU decided to approve the development permit for the object 'residential building with 15 floors and 20 floors above ground and 2-7 floors underground', located in the area of ??Liqeni i Thatë, Municipality of Tirana, with the developer company "ASINVESTMENT" sh.pk," the decision states.

Por, mjafton që këto institucione të pyesin punonjësit apo emrat e lartpërmendur dhe do të dalin në konkluzionin se nënkryetari i Bashkisë së Tiranës ka fshehur pasurinë, po tenton që të pastrojë paratë dhe bën evazion të dukshëm. Nëse do të hetohet ose jo, kjo mbetet për t’u parë, duke qenë se ai është një nga njerëzit më të besuar të eksponentëve të lartë të qeverisë, të cilët i kanë dhënë edhe lejen për kullë.

Duke synuar edhe postet shtetërore, të cilat mund t’i hapnin shumë rrugë, ai ka kaluar disa “ylbere”. Aktualisht mban postin e nënkryetarit të Bashkisë së Tiranës dhe çuditërisht i është besuar roli i kontrolluesit të territorit.
