In 2018, a police operation in Shijak arrested several members of the Avdyli family, accused of several criminal offenses in Albania and Europe. Several people were charged, including Astrit and Flamur Avdyli.

This family is known as a supporter of the current majority, with its members having come out openly in support of the Socialist Party and the former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako. Several episodes have also been denounced by the German newspaper "Bild", while in Albania there have been numerous denunciations of the connection between the majority and this family.

Time has passed and, instead of investigating all these connections, it turns out that members of the same family continue to increase their assets. To date, some assets have been blocked by law enforcement institutions, but who dares to alienate their properties?!

Naturally, no individual, since this family has taken back some of the seized assets, while state institutions, such as the agency that deals with these assets, have found it almost impossible to auction them off or rent them to people who have no connection to the Avdylajs.

Election years have been very profitable for all businesses, which have found it easy to obtain permits with the signature of the heads of state. Some individuals and family members of wanted persons, or even people with criminal pasts, have managed to obtain permits almost all over Albania. Permits have been granted for resorts, towers or even palaces.

In this series, we will focus on another permit, perhaps a "reward" from the government for the Avdyli family. With the signature of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the former Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, the company "Orges Albania 2016" has managed to obtain two beach plots in Durrës.

According to exclusive documents from VoxNews, it concerns a beach station permit, number 5055, issued on July 21, 2025. Information that has reached our editorial office indicates that the permit was granted long before this date, while the issuance of the permit was delayed due to the noise it could create.

It seems that the Avdyli family has continued to "work" for the Socialist Party in the last elections, as they manage to obtain permission from the heads of state in the easiest way. Everything written in black and white, where it turns out that the company "Orges Albania 2016" has managed to obtain 2 beach plots, respectively "DR 515" and "DR 516".

According to official documents researched by VoxNews, the company "Orges Albania 2016" was founded in 2016 by Flamur Avdyli. Initially, the firm dealt with bars and restaurants, while later channeling the business into "beach resorts."

The sole shareholder of this company is a well-known name, as only 2 years after its establishment, it was arrested and investigated for participation in a criminal organization. Flamur Avdyli, along with Astrit Avdyli and other family members, have been charged with several criminal offenses in Albania and Europe.

But, although there were a dozen accusations, they have let it go, as through highly dubious methods, they have managed to keep their wealth intact.

In the National Business Center, the company in question has regular activity, although seasonal, as it sometimes appears with a suspended status and sometimes active. However, its sole shareholder, Flamur Avdyli, has also signed the balance sheets of this company, where for the year 2024 (balance sheet submitted in 2025) it has come out with a profit of 32 thousand euros.

The documents show that Flamur Avdyli's company has regular and uninterrupted activity from law enforcement institutions. So uninterrupted that it even manages to obtain a permit for a beach resort from the government.
