At a distance of 300 meters, a resort has been demolished with good reason and another is being built with government permission. Everything has happened in the very popular area of ??Cape Rodoni, where businessmen, politicians and criminal groups have long had their eye on it. In fact, with highly discussed decisions by the court or the Cadastre, a huge area of ??state forest has been given to individuals with very strong connections.

The IKMT action in Cape Rodoni has been ongoing for several days, initially demolishing the buildings of "Arbeni Resort", which received special permission from the former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako, while on August 29, the resort of Ardian Halili, the former head of IMT in Durrës, was demolished with TNT.

The government has considered the demolition actions to preserve the nature and beautiful landscape of Cape Rodoni. But, not more than 300 meters from the Halili resort, the government itself has given a super permit for the construction of another resort. About 40 buildings, villas and hotels, are being built in a forest area.

According to documents available to the VoxNews editorial team, at the end of 2024, "conditional approval of the construction permit for the 'tourist hotel complex, villas and apartments 2, 3 and 4 floors above ground with 1 and 2 floors underground, located in Shetaj, Durrës Municipality" was granted.

In this decision, it is specified that the developer is the company "MË Plan" sh.pk, owned by a 74-year-old pensioner. Some time ago, the lady had left the profession of civil engineer, while later she also obtained the super permit in Shetaj.

Residents of the area, when asked by VoxNews, indicated that the resort in question is known as "Austrian." There is no information about who is behind the owner, while the media has constantly been circling names from the world of crime or even politics for influence throughout Cape Rodoni.

Our editorial team reviewed the accompanying documents, which show that the firm will build around 40 buildings, villas, bars-restaurants and hotels. They are spread over a sloping terrain, overlooking the Adriatic Sea.

Meanwhile, according to photos of the project, the construction will be carried out next to a forest area, where there is information that it is also being alienated and other villas will soon "grow".

Number "1" is the resort of the former head of IMT that was demolished and number "2" is the land where the resort is being built with government permission.

The action of the IKMT is undoubtedly overdue. Even the prosecution of Ardian Halili, the former head of the IMT in the Municipality of Durrës, who, using his position, built several buildings, is justified. He also used his connections in law enforcement agencies, since his wife Rebjana Halili was a prosecutor in Durrës.

But, in these lines, the VoxNews editorial team has stopped at the paradox of the whole action. Could it be that these demolitions have paved the way for new resorts? In every place that IKMT has visited, there are decisions for permission. The same as in Himara, Dhërmi or Palasa. Just like in Radhima or even Vlora. It remains to be seen whether the Austrians will take Theth.

If one resort was completely destroyed by TNT, another is being built rapidly on an area of ??36 thousand square meters. The project looks gigantic, even from the published photos. There are buildings up to 6 floors, 4 above ground and 2 underground.
