Researcher Auron Tare revealed in an interview on A2 CNN , a letter that can actually be considered the first of the Albanian state, after the declaration of Independence, which also shows corruption in Albanian society.
"There is a letter in the national archive, sent by the Mufti of Tepelena to Ismail Bey on December 4 or 5, and he says, "Ismail Bey, kiss my hand," and others, "don't forget," he says, "the word you gave me, to send my brother to me," says the head of customs in Saranda. This is the first letter from the Albanian state," said Tare.
Ismail Qemali was one of the most important figures in Albanian history, known as the leader of the Declaration of Independence on November 28, 1912 in Vlora. He became the first Prime Minister of the Provisional Government of Albania a few days later, on December 4, 1912.
His government had the mission of laying the foundations of the new Albanian state and securing international recognition. Ismail Qemali held office until January 22, 1914, when he resigned due to political crisis and external pressures. Despite his short tenure, he remains the main symbol of Albanian statehood.
