During 1944, the war against the German invaders had entered a very intense phase. The more the blows against the German invaders and their collaborators increased, the more the reprisals of the Albanian invaders and their collaborators increased.

In the following document extracted from the archives, which is published for the first time, Prime Minister Rexhep Mitrovica complains to the Supreme Council about the murders without any trial and any formalities carried out by the Commander-in-Chief of the National Front, Kadri Cakrani.

According to the reports that the Prime Minister of Mitrovica had received in different ways from the gendarmerie, Kadri Cakrani had executed in Berat and Kavajë, without trials and legal formalities, partisans who had been captured by the National Front.

Prime Minister Mitrovica asks the Supreme Council "to intervene where necessary to prevent the repetition of such actions", which probably means the Germans. If Cakran knew the authority of the government, the prime minister did not have to turn to the Supreme Council to take measures. That Cakran did not recognize the authority of the leaders of the National Front is also a well-known fact, when it came to such things.

As we can see, the killing of opponents without trial and formalities was a phenomenon that was also applied quite well by the leaders and forces of the National Front.
