The former director of the Durrës Police, Vilson Bala, was summoned this Wednesday to the Special Prosecution Office, where he will be questioned by investigators, regarding the contacts he had with the arrested businessman, Ergys Agasi.

Bala currently holds the position of Director of the Korça Police, while during the time he was in charge of the blues in Durrës, he had a relationship with Agas, abusing his position. This is not the first time that Bala has an open score with the justice system, as about two years ago his name came to the fore, for having exposed actions of the Prosecution, when he held the position of Chief of Operations.

At the time, it was reported that Vilson Bala, also through his sister who turned out to be employed at SHISH, Elsa Bala, had exposed the actions of SPAK, which also included police officers such as Ilir Proda and Neritan Nallbati. Bala, along with other police officers, were not reliable contacts for the Special Prosecution Office, during the operation undertaken in Elbasan to dismantle the Çopja clan.

And as if this case were not enough, Bala also seems to have served as a shield for businessman Ergys Agasi, who was arrested by the police on August 26, while his arrest followed the SHISH data scandal, which led to the house arrest of Vlora Hyseni. Bala left the Durrës Police Directorate in January of this year, on the orders of his former boss Ilir Proda.
