The Minister of Agriculture, Frida Krifca, defended the budget for next year, stating that 55 percent of it will go as support for the farmer.

The budget of the Ministry of Agriculture for the next year is set at 120 million euros. This means that 66 million euros, according to the minister's claim, will go to women.

One of the most efficient support schemes for farmers, especially at this time of price crisis, is tax-exempt oil. More than 25,000 farmers have benefited from the scheme, although the data provided by Voxnews.al show that one in three applicants have benefited.

Despite this, the base of 25 thousand farmers is high and makes the scheme the most successful in this sector. But what happens? For the next year, the Ministry of Agriculture has set a fund of 1.3 billion lek, or 11 million euros as oil support for farmers, from 1.9 billion, or about 15 million euros that was planned.

This means that of the 66 million euros that Minister Frida Krifca says will go as support for farmers, only 11 million will actually go directly to them. The rest, of 55 million, will likely be distributed through complex, red tape-choked schemes that farmers have neither the time nor the human resources to apply for.

All of this makes Minister Krifca's claim propaganda, propaganda that Erion Braçe himself exposed during a hearing at the Economy Commission. The socialist deputy denounced the fact that many of the farmers were not receiving financial support from the state, not because they did not deserve it, or because they had not applied with complete documentation, but simply because the Ministry of Agriculture did not have the necessary funds.

Propaganda is also stripped from the fact that Minister Frida Krifca for a single day at the head of this institution has not requested the change of the VAT subsidy scheme, claiming like Arben Ahmetaj earlier in the cabinet that 'despite the fact that the number of cows is falling, the amount of milk produced is increasing'.
