In the days when all Albanians were preparing for the change of the years, doing end-of-year shopping, cooking and planning where they would celebrate, Arben Ahmetaj had another problem.
The end of 2022 took him to the center of a cyclone of accusations, after the publication of invoices of payments that Klodian Zoto had made for stays in luxury hotels of the former minister.
The exposure of these bills has decided Arben Ahmetaj to move all the stones in order to avoid the investigation by justice.
Confidential sources indicate that in the last days of December, Ahmetaj met in a very discreet environment with an important SPAK prosecutor. The sources add that the organizer of this meeting is thought to have been a former chief prosecutor who is heavily talked about by politics.
The meeting was held in complete secrecy, so much so that the sources say that Ahmetaj appeared disguised and wearing a wig before going to the meeting.
According to the sources, the focus of the meeting between Ahmetaj and the SPAK prosecutor was to close the investigations against the former Minister of Finance.
Ahmetaj is accused of receiving travel ticket payments and other hotel payments from the wanted citizen, Klodian Zoto, but these bills were not included in the file investigated by the two prosecutors, Klodian Braho and Eneid Nakuçi.
