The General Director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku issued a statement to the media, where he announced that Plarent Dervishaj and Julian Meçaj have been extradited from Dubai.
According to Rrumbullak, their return to the homeland came as a result of a ' secret ' action carried out by the State Police.
Dervishaj and Meçaj are familiar with the security measures that were given to them in their absence.
Accused of several serious criminal events, they will remain in jail until the investigation by SPAK is completed.
Chief prosecutor Altin Dumani was also present at the session for the assessment of security measures, as a representative of the prosecution body.
It is unclear whether the head of SPAK was aware of the operation, or was familiar with the extraditions, as was the public opinion, from the Rrumbullak conference.
VoxNews has learned that Plarent Dervishaj and Julian Meçe were not extradited from Dubai, nor were they captured by Albanian police agents, but were expelled from the Emirates after a physical conflict they had 10 days ago with a person.
After the violent fight, Dubai has made the decision to expel Dervishaj and Meçe from their country to Albania.
Dubai cut the ticket for Meçaj to Istanbul and there he was received by the Albanian special forces.
While for Plarent Dervishaj, the ticket was cut directly in Tirana to avoid any request for asylum in countries where transit could take place.
Meanwhile, the two friends Dervishaj and Meçaj have said that they came from the Emirate of Dubai and no one has extradited them, so the court should not leave them in "Prison Arrest", but in "House Arrest", because they have not intending to escape as long as they are back on their own.
The brother-in-law of Lul Berisha (Plaurent Dervishaj) and the former number two of the Durrës Gang (Julian Meçaj) have insisted before the judge and Altin Duman as a representative of SPAK, that there is no danger of them leaving Albania, because they have returned themselves to be familiar with the charges.
Meanwhile, the two lawyers of the defendants asked for time to familiarize themselves with the investigative acts of the Special Prosecutor's Office, in charge of the clients protected by them.
Despite the claims, judge Rudina Palloj has decided to send Dervishaj and Meçaj to the cells.
Julian Meçe, the former member of the Durrës gang, is accused together with Plarent Dervishaj of being the initiators of the assassination that took place on November 1, 2019 against the former prosecutor of Durrës, Arian Ndoj.
The Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime revealed that Dervishaj entrusted the "order" to get rid of the former investigator to Ramazan Rraja, who in cooperation with Arjol Halilaj carried out the assassination, the only victim of which was Ndoj's driver, Andi Maloku.
