Additional funding in the budget: $60 million more for energy and gas

The Parliamentary Committee on Production Activities has approved in principle the draft state budget and the fiscal package for the coming year.

The deputies have accepted some changes in the expenditure items for three line ministries, among which the support for an addition of 6 billion lek for the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, which will go to the energy and gas sector.

Arben Pëllumbi, Chairman of the Production Activities Commission: "The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has requested an additional 6 billion lek for energy and gas, of which 5 billion lek will go to KESH in order to manage possible price effects in the energy markets or the consequences of the weather and ALL 1 billion for the Fier-Vlora gas pipeline that will be connected to the TAP project".

The changes requested by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy as well as the Ministry of Tourism will pass through the approval filter item by item of the draft budget and will be included in the report submitted to the Economy and Finance Commission.
