Just 3 weeks after leaving the Transparency Board, the price of fuel in our country has experienced a rapid increase of up to 12 lek per liter.

A liter of diesel is currently being sold for up to 188 lek per liter, up from 176 lek when it was decided on June 19 to dissolve the board.

Meanwhile, the price of gasoline has reached 184 lek per liter from 166 lek that was set at the last transparency board meeting last month.

This increase has come with the justification of the return of tensions in the Middle East, where in recent days US-Iranian attacks have led to the paralysis of the Strait of Hormuz, through which only 14 ships have passed since Wednesday.

Albania is the only country in the world that directly reflects the deterioration of US-Iran relations, but never reacts when the situation calms down.
