Despite customer dissatisfaction, Wizz Air will no longer be low-cost, this is how much the tickets will "fly"

If in the last three years flying around Europe has been quite cheap, with tickets that went down to 20 euros one way, especially for Italian destinations, from next year you will have to think carefully before traveling.

From March, and especially from April next year, tickets will be very expensive.

According to a research that "Monitor" did on the website of Wizz Air, - the largest operator in Albania, with almost 60% of the market, which made a revolution in the market by significantly reducing prices -, tickets are significantly more expensive than they have in recent years, up to 2-5 times higher.

The biggest restriction is for Rome, which is one of the main destinations where Albanians fly.

If you are waiting today for a ticket to Rome for April 15, the cheapest price for the outbound is 90 euros and the return is 110 euros, so the ticket costs 200 euros in total. Even in May, the prices are similar, at around 180 euros round trip.

Milan has so far been one of the cheapest destinations, with tickets costing as little as 20 euros one way. You can find such prices until February next year. But if you are going to travel to Milan in April, the outbound ticket on April 15 ranges from 80-130 euros and the return ticket on April 18 from 70 to 110 euros, depending on the flight schedule. So the cheapest round trip is 150 euros. In May, the ticket costs on average 120-150 euros (round trip).

Bari, one of the closest destinations is almost 200 euros in April and drops to 80 euros in May (two ways) from around 40 euros you could find this year, at least doubling the prices.

Germany is also more expensive. For Dortmund on the 15th and 18th of April, the two-way ticket is about 200 euros, from the 60-80 minimum that you can find during this year, if you wait earlier. Even in May, Dortmund is 180 euros for two directions.

Paris in May (May 19-22) is 230 euros round trip. This year in April, tickets to Paris, if you book them a few weeks in advance, can be bought for 60-100 euros (round trip).

Tickets with other operators are also expensive.

Alba Wngs has scheduled flights to Milan (three times a week) until January. For departure on January 6 and return on January 9 (the last date the ticket can be purchased) it costs 227 euros.

Në prill, më e lirë për në Milano është Air Albania. Nëse prenoton sot për vajtje në datën 15 prill ka vetëm dy vende me çmim promocional 37.5 euro dhe më pas bileta kushton 112 euro. Për kthimin në 18 prill, ka 10 vende me çmim promocional 50 euro dhe pas mbarimit të tyre çmimi shkon në 125 euro.

Për në Romë, një tjetër operator është dhe ItaAirways. Vajtja për në datën 15 prill fillon nga 77 dollarë dhe kthimi 65 dollarë. Çmime të ngjashme ka dhe në maj, por kthimi është më i shtrenjtë, arrin dhe në 100 dollarë.

Pse u rritën çmimet

Burime nga tregu pohojnë se shtrenjtimi lidhet me dy arsye. Së pari është rritja e kostove në përgjithësi, sidomos atyre të karburanteve. Një tendencë e ngjashme ka ndodhur dhe me operatorët e tjerë ajrorë kudo në botë.

Së dyti dhe më e rëndësishmja është rritja e dominimit të tregut nga operatori hungarez me kosto të ulët Wizz Air. Pasi mori tregun përmes çmimeve të lira, Wizz u bë shumë konkurrues në treg, duke bërë që operatorët e tjerë të reduktojnë numrin e linjave, ose të ndalin zgjerimin e tyre. Kjo situatë e bën atë dominues në fiksimin e çmimeve më të larta.

Sipas të dhënave të Autoritetit të Aviacionit Civil, në fund të tremujorit të dytë 2022, Wizz Air kishte 58.4% të tregut të fluturimeve, nga 42% në fund të vitit 2021. Operatori i dytë kishte një peshë shumë më të ulët, vetëm 7.8% (nga 11.6% në fund të vitit 2021) e ndjekur nga Albawings me 6% (nga 7.1% në fund të 2021-t).

Autoriteti i Aviacionit Civil, pohon në raportin e fundit se rritja e Wizz Air ka qenë e lidhur me çmimet konkurruese dhe destinacionet e shumta.

Cheap prices and the lifting of restrictions that were imposed during the pandemic, together with the return of Albania to a favorite tourist destination, has significantly increased the flow of passengers traveling through Rinas.

According to INSTAT, for the period January-September 2022, 3.9 million passengers flew through the air, almost doubling compared to the same period a year ago.
