The Minister of Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj, has stated that with the 2023 budget, they anticipate a slowdown in economic growth and a reduction in the current rate of inflation.

From the floor of the Assembly, Ibrahimaj emphasized that the economic impacts in our country depend on the war in Ukraine as well as on the situation in the world economies.

"With the 2023 budget, we anticipate a slowdown in economic growth. We predict that the economy will grow by 2.6%. We predict that the inflation rate will drop to 3.6% from today's level. The economic impacts will depend on the Russia-Ukraine war and the sanctions and all that will happen in the world economies. The budget envisages fiscal consolidation, envisages debt reduction. This government has shown that it has the will to reduce the debt to GTP and it is stable. We have reduced the debt in 2019. We had not managed the debt that the previous government had left," said the minister.

Ibrahimaj further emphasized that their main objective for 2023 is to guarantee the supply of energy to the citizens.

"The main objective of the 2023 budget is that we will guarantee the supply of electricity and we will not increase the price of electricity, keeping the weight of maintaining this price within the state budget," Ibrahimaj emphasized.
