At the beginning of this year, the Minister of Finance, Ervin Mete, stated that the reference prices of properties will be depreciated by 1% per year depending on the age of the building. According to experts, the approval of this instruction will positively affect the sale and purchase of properties for all parties.

"Today we have objects that are very old that are taxed as a new property and this would really help the sellers to be efficient, to be sold and to have a destination, etc. The taxes they pay are very heavy and make them reluctant to take a step to change the destination of that property. First of all, it will help the seller to take a step to do another action to sell that property, of course also the buyer, but it also helps us as mediators."

Reference prices are also expected to be reviewed on the coast, based on certain areas. Experts give some examples regarding the real prices that should be in these areas as well.

"Not the entire area of ​​Golem has the same real sale value. A property on the hill can never be equal to a property that is on the front line. Even the palace from the palace has differences. Even in the same building, the value of a property facing the sea is not the same as a property not facing the sea, and that is the difference."

The new guideline for taxation of the transfer of ownership is expected to be operational until 2026, as it is currently still in the discussion phase by the relevant institutions and experts in the field of real estate.
