The pension agreement with Italy / 134.8 million euros are expected to be allocated in 7 years

The amendment for the allocation of funds within the framework of the ratification and implementation of the Agreement through the Italian Republic and the Republic of Albania on Social Security, which was signed in Rome on 6 February 2024 This agreement is expected to be approved by the Italian parliament.

How are the funds allocated to the respective years?

According to reports, from 2025 to 2031, a total of 134.8 million euros will be allocated. For 2025, 12 million euros have been provided, for 2026, 13.6 million euros have been allocated, for 2027, 13.1 million euros have been allocated.

From year to year, the funds are increased, while 15.1 million euros have been allocated for 2028, 17 million euros have been allocated for 2029. For 2030 and 2031, they are 19.3 million euros and 21.3 million euros, respectively.

Meanwhile, for all subsequent years starting from 2032, a total of 23.4 million euros have been determined.

This draft law was approved by the Parliament of Albania in May of this year, from where the scope of this agreement includes benefits from the mandatory social security scheme, including insurance for old age, disability and family pension, as well as insurance for sickness and pregnancy and insurance for unemployment.
