KESH carries out three procedures, selling and buying 35,300 mWh of energy

The Albanian Electricity Corporation has provided about 431 thousand euros from the optimization procedures, which include the sale and purchase of electricity. This, through 3 procedures carried out for the period from March 23 to April 12.

According to the data published by KESH, there are about 35,300 thousand mWh of energy that have been traded in the optimization procedures, where for half of them the Corporation has been in the role of buyer, while for the other half in the role of seller.

The implementation of energy sale-purchase procedures aims at benefiting from the difference between the sale price and the purchase price. This is because the same amount of energy is bought and sold in different time profiles.

Meanwhile, referring to the legislation in force, the purchase is made at a lower price than the sale, providing additional income for the Albanian Electricity Corporation.

In fact, these are the first optimization procedures not only for the year 2024, but also for the past year since the Corporation did not carry out any such procedure. Meanwhile, referring to the practices of the past years, they are carried out in non-favorable hydric periods.

Meanwhile, according to the public data of KESH, until now no procedure has been carried out for the sale of energy or the purchase of energy.
