According to the draft law deposited in the Assembly, the goal is to make available information on the consumption of energy and other resources, of products with an impact on energy for the end consumer.

According to the accompanying report, the label should include standard product information about energy efficiency, energy consumption and other resources during use, thus enabling customers to choose more efficient products in order to reduce their consumption. of energy.

The law also provides details on the content that ethics or its positioning should have, specifying that it should have design characteristics as uniform as possible, through groups of products and in any case, be clearly legible and visible.

Meanwhile, as far as the amount of fines is concerned, the draft submitted to the Assembly has undergone changes from the one that was issued for public consultation, which provided that depending on the violation found, the fines could be as much as ten times to fifty times the price per unit of the product offered for the end user.

According to the variant deposited in the Assembly, the value of the fines, depending on the violation, ranges from 150,000 to 350,000 ALL. Meanwhile, when, even after taking measures, the supplier or trader is found to repeat the violation for the same product, then the fine measures are doubled.
