KESH has sold 10,800 megawatts of energy at an average price of 15.55 euros per megawatt , while the average price on the stock exchange is 128 euros per megawatt.

In total, the Albanian Electric Power Corporation put up for sale 56,500 megawatts but managed to sell only 10,800 megawatts.

From this sale, KESH earned 167,940 euros in total or about 16.2 million lekë.

A calculation shows that the sale of energy on the stock exchange is made at a much lower price than the price that citizens in the country pay for energy consumption, writes the Albanian .

Specifically, 10,800 megawatts, which have a total of 10,800,000 kilowatts, which was sold for only 16 million and 200 thousand lekë , or 1.5 lekë per kilowatt.

Meanwhile, Albanian citizens who consume up to 700 kilowatts of energy per month pay 8.5 lek per kilowatt, and when this level is exceeded, 9.5 lek per kilowatt is paid.

VoxNews , based on the price paid by citizens, has made a calculation and it turns out that KESH has lost between 75.6 million lek and 86.4 million lek from this sale of 10,800 MWh.

If the energy had been sold at the average stock exchange price of €128/MWh, the loss would be around €1.21 million./ VoxNews
